Pull on your walking boots and join the Myles Standish ‘2020 +1’ Working Group for a summer walk between two parishes linked to Captain Myles Standish and the historic Mayflower voyage of 1620.
Taking a 9 mile route partly along the Leeds/Liverpool canal, walkers will depart from St. Laurence’s Church Chorley in groups of 10, each with a designated walk leader, with a break for lunch along the route in Adlington (walkers will buy or bring own lunch).
Walkers will receive a short blessing at the both the beginning and end of the walk, and light refreshments will be available at St. Wilfrid’s Church upon arrival.
Registration time at St. Laurence’s Church: from 9.45am
Walkers begin departing from: 10am
Approx. event finish time: 3pm
