St. Laurence’s Church
St. Laurence’s Chorley is a grade II* listed church and has occupied it’s current site since the beginning of the 14th century. It is Chorley’s oldest building and is situated right in the heart of Chorley town centre. Throughout its history St Laurence’s has played a key role in the local community and this is still the case today as can be seen through the provision of the community ‘Wellness Hub’.
The origins of this Parish Church are lost in obscurity, but it certainly existed in the Saxon period.
