There are lots of ways to travel into and around Chorley. We're located in the heart of the North West, just minutes from major motorways and easily accessible by car, rail, bus or cycle
By car
Chorley is well connected to a number of motorways. Find us off Junction 8 of the M61, Juction 27/28 of the M6, or Junction 1A of the M65 and follow the signs for Chorley.
Parking
Chorley has a variety of long and short stay car park options, all situated within easy walking distance of the town centre and offering free or low-cost parking.
Extended FREE parking this Christmas
From Wednesday 11 December to Tuesday 24 December (inc.), the 1 hour free parking currently offered on our town centre car parks (except Flat Iron) will be extended to 3 hours free parking (with the exception of the Flat Iron car park which will be 2 hours free parking).
A time of arrival ticket is required, and maximum stay periods still apply.

By train
Services stop regularly at Chorley from Manchester, Blackpool and the Lake District, and with the station just a 5 minute walk from the town centre it's a convenient, enviromentally friendly way to discover Chorley and the surrounding areas. By bus
Chorley is well served by buses with direct links from Bolton, Preston, Blackburn and Wigan. The Chorley Interchange station is located on Clifford Street, just a couple of minutes walk from the town centre.

By taxi
If you're looking to get a taxi from the town centre, the taxi rank can be found close to the Flat Iron car park, on High Street off the A581 (St. Thomas' Road)

The famous Chorley markets date back all the way to 1498, with the most popular market day for coach trips being a Tuesday, when our covered market in the heart of the town centre is joined by many more street traders that line the streets selling everything from fresh fruit and produce to cosmetics, gifts and clothes. Chorley Flower Show
The award winning Flower Show is the highlight of the Chorley events calendar, bringing thousands of visitors flocking to Astley Park for three jam-packed days of all things horticultural, with show gardens, professional exhibitors, garden traders, great food and drink and much more! Shopmobility
Located behind Chorley's bus station, Chorley's ShopMobility are an independent charity which enables people who have difficulty in mobility, to enable a day's shopping in town or just to wander around the Markets at a minimal cost.Services include the hire of scooters and manual wheelchairs.
