Two days of fun free activity as part of Heritage Open Days, on the theme of architecture!

On Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 September, come along to Astley Hall for two days of fantastic activity on this year’s Open Days theme of Architecture – all completely free!

 

Activity Detail Timings
Curator tours of Astley Hall and grounds

Take a tour inside and outside Astley Hall and learn about how the architecture of the Hall has changed over the years!

  • Tickets are free and booked in the museum shop on the day of your visit. Shop opens at 10am.

Tours set off every hour on the hour from 11am onwards (Last tour begins at 3pm)

'Nature's Architects' wildlife craft activity 

Come to the Walled Garden and have fun building homes for garden visitors!

Bird Photographer of the Year exhibition

 Check out the latest exhibition in the Coach House Gallery, with 70-80 winning photographs celebrating bird life from around the world

'Art of Astley' drawing activity

Art activity on the lawns in front of the hall. Draw and paint your own interpretation of Astley Hall!

  • No booking necessary, materials provided

'Astley Architects' trail 

Collect a trail sheet and pencil from the Astley Museum Shop and answer questions based on what you can see during your visit!

Family History Centre

Discover how your home and the area you live in has changed over time at the Family History Centre in the Astley Farmhouse!
