Chorley 10K and 2K Family Run Entry Terms and Conditions
Event managed by Fylde Coast Runners on behalf of Chorley Council.
By registering for the Chorley 10k or 2k Family Run, you agree to abide by the following terms and conditions:
1. Eligibility
- Participants must be at least 15 years of age on the day of the event (10k).
- All entrants must be physically fit and free from any medical condition that may impact their ability to safely complete the race.
- The race is open to both amateur and club runners; however, all entrants must adhere to UK Athletics (UKA) rules and regulations.
2. Registration and Fees
- Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable, except as stipulated in section 3.
- Registration must be completed online by the specified closing date. Late entries may incur additional fees if accepted.
- Entrants must provide accurate personal information during registration. Fylde Coast Runners reserves the right to disqualify any participant who provides false or misleading information.
3. Deferral and Transfer Policy
- Entries may be deferred to the following year only under exceptional circumstances, such as illness or injury, and must be requested at least two weeks before race day.
- No entry transfers are permitted to another person. Unauthorised transfers will lead to disqualification and a potential ban from future races.
4. Event Day Requirements
- All participants must wear their assigned race bib, visible on the front of their running attire.
- Participants must follow the designated route and comply with all marshals and signage instructions.
- Any form of outside assistance is strictly prohibited.
- The use of audio devices that obstruct hearing, such as headphones, is discouraged to ensure runner and course safety.
5. Health & Safety
- Participants are responsible for monitoring their health during the race and are encouraged to withdraw if experiencing signs of distress.
- Medical assistance will be available along the route and at the finish line. By participating, you consent to receive medical treatment if deemed necessary by event staff.
- In the event of adverse weather or other safety concerns, Fylde Coast Runners reserves the right to modify or cancel the event for participant safety.
6. Event Changes or Cancellation
- Fylde Coast Runners reserves the right to change the date, course, or other aspects of the event. In the event of a complete cancellation, efforts will be made to defer entries to the following year’s event.
- No refunds will be issued if the event is modified or rescheduled.
7. Photography and Media
- By participating, entrants consent to the use of their images in race photography, video footage, and media coverage for promotional purposes.
8. Liability Waiver
- By entering the race, participants accept that they participate at their own risk. Fylde Coast Runners and Chorley Council are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage suffered by participants unless resulting from negligence.
9. Data Protection
- Personal information provided during registration will be used only for the purposes of organising and running the event and will not be shared with third parties without consent, except where necessary for race operations or safety.
10. Agreement to Terms
- By completing registration, participants confirm they have read, understood, and agree to comply with these terms and conditions.
