Come along to Astley Park on Friday 7 November 2025, 5pm to 8pm for a great free evening of dazzling family fun bringing elements of our much loved bonfire night and Astley Illuminated events together, including:

Important event information:
Health and Safety:
- The firing zone will be on the eastern part of the field close to the Pavilion. Please stay out of the firing zone at all times. The rest of the park will remain open throughout the event.
- Please make use of all the space available throughout the park to enjoy the entertainment and watch the fireworks display.
- No sparklers or public fireworks will be allowed at the event for health and safety reasons. Children’s play areas will be closed for the event. Please do not bring dogs to the event
- Entry to the event is FREE, however donations are welcome on the night for the Mayor’s nominated charities.
- Please don’t bring bags larger than A4 size to the event – larger bags may be subject to searches.
- Please listen to the stewards instructions and any public address announcements made during the night. This will ensure the smoothest and safest event can take place.
- Please dress for the weather including wearing appropriate footwear. Paved paths will be available but people can stand on the grass if they wish - be mindful this can be slippy.
- We advise that you bring a torch with you, as it can be dark walking through some areas of the park.
Traffic and parking:
- Please make use of the plentiful free parking available in the town centre after 5pm. For more information about town centre car parks visit www.chorley.gov.uk/parking
- A one way system will be in place along Chancery Road from 4pm until 9pm. Traffic will run in the direction of West Way to Euxton Lane. Please observe directional signage, do not drive through any diversions.
- Parking will be permitted along the closed lane of Chancery Road during the event. Please do not park on surrounding residential roads in Astley Village.
- Hallgate and Ackhurst car parks will be available for use on a first come first serve basis. Please leave disabled bays accessible for blue badge holders.
