Theatre in the Park - Last Night of the Proms
Last Night at the Proms returns to Astley Hall's Walled Garden with Outreach Opera and the Bolton Hoover Band!
Outreach Opera return to Astley Park for their Last Night of the Proms open-air concert*, in the beautiful setting of the Walled Garden and joined once more by the Bolton Hoover Band.

Gates open at 5.00pm with Outreach Opera taking to the stage at 6.00pm
Pack your picnics and bring your friends and family for this musical event on the lawn. Outreach Opera will take you on a musical journey from opera through to songs from the west end shows, finishing with much loved traditional British anthems, including Land of Hope and Glory and Jerusalem, for those who enjoy a flag waving, sing a long.
Join sopranos Georgina Rosanna Murray and Helen Latham, with the Bolton Hoover Band as they deliver a musical feast, for a Last Night Of The Proms concert that truly is not to be missed!

What you need to know...
- This is an outdoor event and will go ahead in all weathers, so please bring suitable clothing if required.
- Seating is not provided. Please bring your own blankets or picnic chairs
- The theatre is set in the walled garden which provides plenty of space for ample social distancing
- You can bring your own picnic
- Refreshments and snacks will be available to purchase
- Children aged 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult
- Well behaved dogs on leads are permitted
- Gates open from 5:00pm
- The performance is 1 hour 45 minutes with a 15 minute interval.
Carer ticket information
If you would like to obtain a carer ticket (free) then you will need to purchase a ticket for the person requiring a carer and then email us at events@chorley.gov.uk with evidence that they require a carer along with the booking reference of the ticket. We will then be able to process the ticket and place a carer ticket on your account. Please see below the evidence we accept:
- The front page of DLA letter with PIP letter
- The front page of Attendance Allowance letter
- The front page of a Carers Allowance letter
- The front page of a War pensioners' Mobility Allowance letter
- Evidence of being registered as severely sight impaired (blind)
- Recognised Assistance Dog ID card
- Valid Access Card showing you require a +1 to accompany you
- Confirmation from social services or GP that you have a long term disability (including learning) and require a full time carer
If you are buying your ticket on the day and a require a carer ticket, please bring the required evidence.
